In order to marry the daughter of Louhi, the mistress of Pohja, Lemminkäinen promised to shoot swans by the river. Unfortunately the blind shepherd whom he despised was there waiting for him and killed him, throwing his body into the rapids of Tuoni river. The son of Tuoni mutilated his body again. When Lemminkäinen left his mother for Pohja, he told her that if he was killed, the comb would bleed. Now his comb was dripping with blood, and his mother knew right away that he was dead. She hurried to Pohja. The sun informed her in detail of the circumstances of Lemminkäinen’s death. The mother found her son’s corpse in the rapids of Tuoni river and stitched it together, using a spell and a mysterious ointment to bring Lemminkäinen back to life.
勒明盖宁为了娶到波赫亚的女主娄希的女儿他答应到河边射击天鹅。不幸的是那个被他轻视的瞎子牧人正在那里等他并将他杀害，尸体丢入多尼河的急流里。多尼河的儿子又割碎了他的尸体。 勒明盖宁离开母亲去波赫亚的时候曾对她说如果他遭到遇害，梳子会流血。现在他的梳子滴着血了，他的母亲立刻知道他已经死了。她就赶往波赫亚。太阳把勒明盖宁死去的情况详细地通知了她。母亲在多尼河的急流中找到儿子的尸体碎块后拼合，用咒语和神秘的药膏使勒明盖宁复活。
